However, I will note that if you let the pod escape, the woman inside will then give you access to her stash of neuromods as a reward. And there was also the bigger moral quandary of whether you should 'deliver justice' on that guy who kept the malfunctioning escape pods a secret (but if you do, you also kill an innocent woman). But then that makes the Shuttle Advent quest seem more redundant when you think about it in that sense.

As you say, from a functional standpoint, there's also that risk that launching the pod can introduce Typhon to Earth. I feel that this side quest was a better representation of the trolley problem, since there were people that you could interact with, in a sense. Having said that, I really should’ve checked that escape pod that I could allow to leave or destroy, I was giving too few details on their situation and acted on compassion there. I suppose as gamers, you want your actions to have some sort of effect on the game's world, and without that, what's the point? However, as I mentioned, because nothing happens after you push that button, it's tempting to just look at it, shrug, and wonder what the point of it was.

I feel that in that sense, the game is trying to make your decision carry more weight because of that. That's fair, you don't have enough information to make an informed decision. Destroying it became a pragmatic choice instead of a deductive one.

My gripe about that quest is the fact I don’t know when the outbreak began, and cannot rightfully decide if the ship could have a mimic hiding aboard it based on shipping times and other information I spent a solid hour gleaning from computers.
